Eversheds Sutherland’s international branch and Hong Kong-based King & Wood Mallesons’ China branch said they’re launching an exclusive partnership under which KWM China will close its UK, Europe, and Middle East offices.
Under the agreement, KWM China will refer all future matters in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South America to Eversheds Sutherland International. Eversheds Sutherland International will refer clients requiring China legal advice to KWM China.
Under the agreement, KWM, subject to regulatory approval, will shutter its offices in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, with lawyers from those offices invited to join Eversheds Sutherland International, according to the firms’ joint press release.
